These days it seems like were doing a lot more thinking about our boats than we are actually out sailing them or working on them. Well, whether its a beloved cruising sailboat, powerboat, racing boat, wooden boat, work boat, tug boat or even a kayak or old Laser, we want to share your boat’s story for 48North.com’s “My Boat” series. 

What is MY BOAT?

Every boat has a story, and every owner has a unique relationship with his or her boat. 48North.com’s “My Boat” is the place to share your own boat’s story—and brag a little about what makes your boat special. 

To share your boat with fellow boaters and 48° North readers, all we need you to do is answer a set of questions and send us some pictures (and video if you have it). 

A few tips: Try to answer the questions as if you’re having a casual conversation with a friend. Have fun with your answers. If there are any questions you’re unable to answer, just leave them blank. And if you want to add a question or two, feel free!

If possible, at least one image would be of you on the boat. One should show the entire boat (or most of it). Feel free to send us up to 10 photos that show off your boat in all its glory, including the interior. Don’t worry about the photos being too large—we can resize them. Bigger is better. 

If your boat is chosen for My Boat, 48° North editors will write an introduction and edit your answers for grammar, spelling and style if need be, so don’t worry about your writing being perfect.
