48° North is launching a new video initiative and our first edition is now live, we hope you like it!

48° North is extremely excited and proud to announce that we’re starting up a video production operation to complement our magazine flagship. Today, we get to release our first project. In this video, we are honored to partner with World Champion sailor and Olympic Medalist Jonathan McKee to spotlight the refit of the jib lead system on his Custom Bieker Riptide 44 racer-cruiser sailboat, Dark Star. We get a window not only into Jonathan’s ever-evolving sailing inspirations, but also the world-class marine professionals in the Pacific Northwest that brought this elegant and effective project to life. In the end, it’s all about the fun, fulfillment, and possibility found in improving or updating any boat.
