Clean out your garages, lazarettes, and lockers, the Marine Thrift Swap Meet will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 24 in Port Townsend.

The Swap Meet will be located at 315B Haines Place in the gravel lot across from Marine Thrift in Boat Haven, between PYR and Shipwright’s Co-Op. Signs will help direct vendors and buyers to the location.

The 2021 Swap Meet will follow any COVID restrictions in place. Please wear a mask and maintain 6-feet social distance.

VENDOR GUIDELINES

Vendor registration is required in order to ensure the proper amount of space can be allocated. Please REGISTER HERE.

Set up for vendors begins at 7 a.m., and you can have a vehicle right at the site (a wheeled cart would be great to bring), but parking is encouraged along the waterfront prior to 8 a.m.

Marine Thrift’s Jake Nassiri and his crew will be there for guidance, and spaces will not be marked out ahead of time — so please share space with others. There will be volunteers, staff and signage to help from 7 a.m. until the close of business.

There are spaces with fence or wall to (carefully) lean large items against, please take care of the building and be aware of the barbed wire. Don’t lean things against boats.

Parking is allowed along the fence on the waterfront in the boat yard, and at the Park and Ride by Safeway. Do not park in the parking lots of nearby businesses.

Marine Thrift will not provide tables, chairs, tents, tarps, etc… Please enjoy the coordination of the space and advertising of the event, but bring your own gear and be prepared for all sorts of weather.

Break down needs to be done by 3 p.m., and vendors are encouraged to leave no trace. Please be sure to respect the surrounding businesses. Don’t block the road, and please don’t take up parking spaces that would otherwise be used by customers of the businesses in the yard.

GOT LEFTOVERS?

If you don’t end up hawking all your wares, bring unsold items to the Marine Thrift store and get a tax-deductible receipt for donation on the spot. You can then drive back home with an empty truck and the warm feeling that all your donations help support the mission and educational programs at the Northwest Maritime Center.

Please feel free to email jaken@nwmaritime.org or call 360.379.5807 if you have further questions.
