Today’s podcast is an interview I did with Simeon Baldwin and Dale Simonson during the 2017 Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend Washington. Simeon and Dale both own SCAMP micro sailboats. They entered the R2AK first leg in 2017 and had to call the Coast Guard and be rescued due to one crew approaching hypothermia, and also to the SCAMP taking on water (due to a leaking bilge seal). We discuss the entire adventure and the lessons they learned from this harrowing adventure.
