The Jonbuoy Recovery Module Mark 6 (JBRM6) is a full crew overboard solution enabling deployment of a device that can support and aid in the recovery of someone who has gone overboard. The JBRM6 is available in a hard case or soft valise and, when operated, it deploys directly from the container, inflating automatically and immediately providing a high visibility pylon and platform. The unit includes a SOLAS automatic light, intuitive boarding assistance, integrated water stability system, lifting harness, retro-reflective binding, throwing line, and AIS attachment point. Once aboard, it supports the person comfortably out of the water, reducing the risk of hypothermia while awaiting recovery. The JBRM6 is accepted as a direct replacement for one traditional danbuoy, horseshoe, drogue, light and whistle, specified within the World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations, where two would normally be required. Two-year service is required.
