48° North and the Northwest Maritime Center hold inclusion and equality as core values. We believe in our mission, that people are made more compassionate and resilient when they connect with the powerful experiences of the sea, but there are simply bigger issues to pay attention to. Right now, the best thing we can do as an organization is to take a knee in solidarity, be silent and listen to the voices that need to be heard, and in doing so help them to be amplified.

We’re taking the week to pause and reflect. Offices and operations are still open, but we’ll resume sharing news, stories, and updates on June 12th.
