“Come for the Wind! Stay for the Party!” is the motto of Bellingham Yacht Club’s (BYC) fun annual PITCH Regatta, which will be held September 12-14, 2025.
This year, BYC celebrates the 51st anniversary of the PITCH Regatta on Bellingham Bay, which entices sailors from Olympia to British Columbia in boats from TP52s to One-Design fleets. New for 2025 is the date shift away from its historic position over Labor Day Weekend, and now PITCH will be held September 12-14.
Visiting competitors will again be greeted by the welcome boat with cold beers, and will then celebrate racing, boats, and each other at the beautiful BYC clubhouse and bar over the weekend.
BYC manages the competition in accordance with PHRF rules, and is a qualifying race in 48° North’s annual Top 25. One of the oldest regattas in the North Sound, PITCH stands for Pacific International Tonnage Championships, predating PHRF; and it is a proud member of the North Sound Party Circuit.
In addition to two days of racing, PITCH features festivities including:
Friday evening
- Welcome Party with live music by the Young Kids
- Complimentary dinner sponsored by Dead Pirates Society
- Skippers’ Meeting
Saturday evening
- Enjoy dinner from New Mexico Tamale Company supported by San Juan Sailing
- Dance the night away with Seventies music from DJ Matt
- Fun with PortaPixie Photo Booth
Sunday evening
- Rounding out the weekend, you are welcomed back to the club for Hawaiian dinner
- Raffle and awards ceremony
Register now to participate and enjoy the thrill of racing and the fun of the after parties. Don’t miss PITCH this year on its new dates September 12-14, 2025!
