The Racing Rules of Sailing is published every four years by World Sailing, the international authority for the sport. These rules, amended by US “prescriptions,” govern sailboat racing in the United States and in the portions of international races that pass through U.S. waters. The Racing Rules of Sailing for 2021-2024 took effect on January 1, 2021.
