We always thought the boating and sailing community needed a better events calendar to help the public know about the extraordinary number and variety of on-the-water and nautical events in Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Victoria, and all the boaty harbors in between. RVanYC VARC Opener (VARC)

This mid-distance race is part of the Vancouver Area Racing Circuit (VARC). The race is open to all boats that have a current PHRF or BC certificate with rating no higher than 275 or a current ORC club certificate with rating no higher than 640.1. The course is usually in English Bay and may include portions of Howe Sound and Georgia Strait.
