Knowing how to troubleshoot and maintain your boat’s diesel engine is a crucial part of seamanship and boat ownership.

As such, Washington Sea Grant, WSU Jefferson County Extension and the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding are co-sponsoring a Diesel Engine Troubleshooting and Maintenance Workshop for commercial fishermen and recreational boaters.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding (upper campus), located at 165 Lower Hadlock Road Port Hadlock, WA.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Overview of troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Fuel system
  • Lubrication system
  • Electrical system
  • Cooling system
  • Exhaust system
