The Van Isle 360 recently announced that the response to the 2027 Black Wolf Edition of the Pacific Northwest’s premier offshore and adventure race has been strong. The event is filling up, so sign up now!

The race organizing team has just finished a tour of three yacht clubs—West Vancouver Yacht Club, Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle in partnership with Seattle Yacht Club, and the Royal Victoria Yacht Club. The team met with racers and sailors eager to join the race.

The Van Isle 360 is, truly, an adventure. For Marc Owen-Flood, a two-time Van Isle 360 skipper and past Commodore of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, it’s about “teamwork, learning, personal growth and adventure. … I can’t imagine a better way to explore our beautiful Island.”

The event is a Category 2 offshore race that circumnavigates Vancouver Island in nine legs over 14 days. It starts and finishes in Nanaimo, BC, and is scheduled to take place on June 4–19, 2027. The late registration fees go into effect at midnight on October 31. Boats considering entry are encouraged to apply before the late fees take effect.

Space in the race is limited by the moorage available in some of the smaller ports of call that the race visits. LOA drives the cap on the number of accepted entries. “Fitting boats in at the renowned Telegraph Cove is like a game of Tetris” according to race organizer Chris Maier. The 2027 fleet is currently composed of some of the most exciting and competitive boats the region has to offer, including TP52s, J/120s, Express 37s, Centurion 40s and an exciting array of Riptides with a strong mix of veteran and new teams. Registered boats are from British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and California, with some boats representing yacht clubs from Chicago and Bermuda.
