The Southern Sound Series is the centerpiece of offseason racing calendars around Puget Sound, and the dates for this season have been confirmed.
The Southern Sound Series (SSS) will be familiar to most racing sailors in the Pacific Northwest, drawing boats from around the region for the best attended, most competitive, and most fun offseason series in the area. It is comprised of four monthly events, each co-hosted by a home club and the South Sound Sailing Society.
The South Sound Series Committee recently met and confirmed the traditional race dates:
- December 6, 2025 – Winter Vashon
- January 3, 2026 – Duwamish Head
- February 14, 2026 – Toliva Shoal
- March 14, 2026 – Islands Race
The series retains its customary structure in which each race is hosted by a different South Sound yacht club. But there is a central website for the series hosted by the South Sound Sailing Society that will be updated as each club provides details for their individual race.
