On August 22nd, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., the Center for Wooden Boats (CWB) is welcoming the boating community to help celebrate their 50th Anniversary Reunion.
For 50 years, CWB has connected people to Seattle’s living maritime heritage through hands-on experiences, small boats, restoration, craftsmanship, and time spent together on Lake Union. This milestone year is a moment to celebrate everyone who has helped shape CWB, founders and longtime volunteers, boatwrights and sailors, members and donors, youth program families, community partners, staff, and friends old and new. Whether you have been part of CWB for decades or are just discovering what they do, please join this joyful evening on the waterfront.
The event will include heavy appetizers, an open bar, live music, and community as boaters gather to honor CWB’s first 50 years and look ahead to the next chapter. This is not a formal gala. It is a community celebration, casual, welcoming, and rooted in the spirit of CWB.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here: https://www.cwb.org/50th
