The Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show featuring Trawlerfest is on, and it’s great! Saturday May 17 is your last day to check out the show.

Yesterday, I got to visit the Anacortes Boat and Yacht Show, an event that continues to grow, evolve, and impress. Stepping through the ticketing tent and into the plaza of shoreside exhibitors, the diverse array of services and products on display surprised me a little, in a good way, since this portion of the show has grown so much in recent years. The layout allowed the crowds of attendees to flow from booth to booth, and there were a lot of industry favorites as well as some new faces.

Heading down to the docks, I always appreciate how these are boats in the water in a functioning marina that PNW boaters will know well. It’s seeing these stunning vessels in their natural habitat. There are more than 250 new and pre-owned boats on display, offering variety aplenty and a good representation of what’s available for those looking for something new, or maybe a first boat to enjoy during the dawning 2025 sunny season on the Salish Sea. Recent boat show attendees won’t be surprised to learn that there is substantially more power inventory on display than sail, but the sailboats you can check out offer quality and a nice variety.

The event gave me what boat shows always do: an ever deeper appreciation for the community that facilitates boating in this region, as well as a barge-load of new inspiration and enthusiasm. Daydream seeds planted. A heavy dose of FOMO (fear of missing out). And wheels spinning about how I can spend even more time enjoying the water this year. If you’re shopping in earnest, these sentiments will only multiply. Head out to one of the boat-iest towns around tomorrow (Saturday), and enjoy the show before it’s gone.

The Anacortes Boat and Yacht Show is owned and produced by the Northwest Marine Trade Association and Anacortes Chamber of Commerce. Since 2022, the event has partnered with Trawlerfest to for its popular education and cruising community elements.
