Believe it or not, summer is right around the corner. Put the best week of the season on the books now, and join us for this year’s 48° North Cruising Rally! Registration is open, space is limited, and we want to go cruising with you!

TL;DR: REGISTER TODAY!

At its core, our cruising rally is about engaging in the joys of Pacific Northwest cruising in the company of some other wonderful people — and out of it, you get happy memories, interpersonal connections, and often new cruising skills and confidence. Each year that we’ve done our rally, we hear not only that people had a great time and made new friends, but that many participants’ comfort and self-assurance while cruising were off the charts after the rally.

This is a BYOB (bring your own boat) event—sail or power, both are absolutely welcome—or you could look into chartering in the area. We move locations most days (usually with one layover day), so you get to experience some different parts of our cruising grounds. We encourage anchoring out, and often explore options for rafting up as a group. And as rally organizers, we’re around to answer questions, suggest some fun activity options, and potentially provide assistance in a pinch. But it should be noted that the rally is not an expressly educational event.

Each year we’ve done our rally, we’ve been fortunate to have the partnership, support, and expertise of the Ullman Sails team as a part of the crew. Owner of the West Coast Ullman Sails lofts and Vashon Island native, Chuck Skewes, will once again co-lead this year’s rally (this year, Chuck is flexing his group-cruising clout as the recently appointed “Grand New-bah” of the Baja Ha-Ha rally).

In order to visit the kind of perfect PNW gunkholes we love, we will limit the rally to 15 boats for 2026. Crossing the border into Canada is a special part of the rally, and we plan to spend a portion of the rally in British Columbia’s Gulf Islands. Official itinerary plans will be released around June 1, 2026.

A great way to learn more about our cruising rally is to read stories about previous events. Here are Joe Cline’s articles about the 20252024, and 2023 rallies. And don’t miss Andy Cross’s story about the 2022 rally, or this article about the 2021 Rally; as well as another about first annual Cruising Rally, or some of Joe’s “Rally Reflections” (part 1 and part 2).

Sign-up and join the fun in 2026!
